# AnyBucket

> AnyBucket is a native, keyboard-first file transfer app for macOS. One or two panes per tab, each showing This Mac or any SFTP, FTP, FTPS, Amazon S3 (and S3-compatible: Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, DigitalOcean Spaces, MinIO, Google Cloud Storage) or WebDAV server, so Mac to server, server to server and server to Mac are the same gesture: mark files, press F5. Server-side copies when both sides share a server, a ⌘K palette that goes anywhere, Compare & Sync, workspaces, a transfer queue that survives dropped connections and relaunches, a menu bar companion and notifications. No account, no cloud service, no analytics.

AnyBucket 1.0.0 runs on macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel (one universal download). It is made by Clever Mechanisms (https://clevermechanisms.dev), an independent studio. Independent software in the spirit of Cyberduck and the classic two-pane commanders. - Price: $9.99 (USD), a one-time purchase with tax added at checkout where it applies; one license covers 2 Macs. No subscription.
- No account, no cloud service and no analytics in the app. It connects only to the servers you add, to Polar to check its license (license key, activation ID and a random installation ID; it works offline for up to seven days), and once a day to clevermechanisms.dev for the latest version number, which can be turned off.
- FTPS needs python3 from Apple's Command Line Tools (xcode-select --install). SFTP runs /usr/bin/ssh, so ~/.ssh keys, agent, config and ProxyJump work as in Terminal.
- Passwords and secret keys are stored in the login keychain; bookmarks, workspaces and the transfer queue in ~/Library/Application Support/AnyBucket/.
